Object/Primitive

When using the create object tool inworld and creating new box (or shape) will by default be named Primitive in pre V.0.9 or named Object in post V.0.9 versions of the operating system. Until the object is named.

OpenSim

  • OpenSim is the name given to the operating system that the virtual world is created on. It is the server based software for hosting Virtual Worlds.
  • Dynamic Worldz currently supports both V.0.8.2.1 on the grid https://dynamicworldz.com and the latest release of V.0.9.1.1 on the grid https://dynamicworldz2.com

P

Prim

A Prim is the abbreviated version of the word Primitive and refers to 1 part of a build or object. Land, for example, will support a defined number of Prims. The default prim allowance for a starter region in Dynamic Worldz is 16000 prims. A completed item like a house can be several prims as each part (i.e. windows, doors, walls, floors etc) are all made up of single prims joint together. This means that it will usually take up between 20 – 1500 prims for a single build. When using mesh builds this does reduce your land impact significantly.

Primitive/Object

When using the create object tool inworld and creating new box (or shape) will by default be named Primitive in pre V.0.9 or named Object in post V.0.9 versions of the operating system. Until the object is named.
